I’m sure you heard it in high school that up to 60% of our body is made up of water. But did they talk about the quality of the water you drink? Visit www.ewg.org/tapwater/ and search your zip code. This will give a good idea of what is in your local tap water. Try not to gasp (!). I know I sure did the first time I searched mine (and then re-searched to make sure I saw correctly).

So what can you do about it? I think the most important thing to address is your drinking water. But wait! Don’t just run out and buy the first filter you see. They are not all created equal. Unfortunately – if you can buy it in a big box store it probably is not going to filter a lot of the contaminants. I won’t name any names but the typical filters that you see will filter out some contaminants and improve water taste. What they are not filtering out include: fluoride, microorganisms, VOC’s, chloramine, iron, arsenic, microplastics, PFAS. Only SOME will filter out pharmaceuticals, mercury, lead, pesticides and asbestos.
There are many companies out there but the one I will focus on today is Greenfield Water Solutions. This is the company I use and have grown to love. There is truly something different about water when it is filtered by their product than any other filter I have tried. In addition, they are third party tested and very transparent with this information. Their customer service is phenomenal.
Lastly, they are very reasonably priced for their filters. This is great because after the initial investment for the filter, maintenance filters, which usually are needed around 1x/ year, won’t break the bank. Head on over to their site here https://www.greenfieldwater.com?aff=440 and use my code WELLNOURISHED and see the difference in truly filtered water!
